Job Description

Graduate Internship Programme Opportunity

Govan Mbeki Local Municipality in partnership with Rand Water invites suitably qualified unemployed graduates to apply for a three-year fixed-term contract programme. This initiative aims to develop young professionals within the water sector and related disciplines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification in the relevant discipline from an accredited university
  • Unemployed South African citizens under the age of 35, aligned with NSDS III guidelines
  • Valid South African ID document
  • Valid Code 08 driver’s licence is advantageous
  • Appointments subject to Employment Equity considerations
  • Academic credentials must meet requirements for professional registration with statutory councils such as ECSA, SAGC, SACPLAN, SACNASP, and SACPCMP
  • Registration as a candidate with the respective statutory council will be an advantage
  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo assessments, security clearance, and qualification verification, and must produce original certificates and academic transcripts

Key Responsibilities
