The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) is dedicated to conducting evidence-based research. To fulfill this mandate, we are seeking to appoint unemployed KZN graduates (ages 18 – 35 years) to collect data for research purposes.
The data collectors will be required to gather data in specific district municipalities within the KZN province, including:
- Amajuba District Municipality
- iLembe District Municipality
- Harry Gwala District Municipality
- uGu District Municipality
- uMgungundlovu District Municipality
- uMkhanyakude District Municipality
- uMzinyathi District Municipality
- uThukela District Municipality
- King Cetshwayo District Municipality
- Zululand District Municipality
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Institute with the door-to-door data collection process in line with applicable procedures
- Collect data using surveys, personal, and telephonic interviews
- Capture data in a MKRI prescribed format
- Maintain data quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings
- Adhere meticulously to ethical and professional standards relevant to the process
Requirements:
- Valid tertiary qualification (NQF 6 – 8)
- Computer literacy
- Own mobile device (working smartphone)
- Ability to operate a mobile device
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in English and IsiZulu
Advantageous:
- Code 08/10 driver’s license is an added advantage
- NQF 8 qualification will be an added advantage to align with research understanding
