Entry Level Specialist: Operations & Administration (C&B) at Absa Bank Limited
Absa Bank Limited, a proudly African financial institution with over 100 years of rich history and regional expertise, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Specialist in Operations & Administration (C&B). This role supports Investment Managers by providing essential administrative and operational assistance, contributing to the bank’s growth and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate correctness and accuracy of information on Deal Sheets for maturities, new investments, maintenance, transfers, and rate changes.
- Verify data captured by Back Office for maturities, new investments, maintenance, transfers, and rate changes.
- Populate Deal Sheets via Orchestrate for all relevant transactions.
- Obtain client acceptance of quotes with necessary proof.
- Investigate reasons for deal sheets not fit for processing, coordinating with IRA as needed.
- Maintain and update client details on Orchestrate.
- Send confirmation letters to clients upon investment account opening.
- Maintain CASA list and issue CASA numbers for new investment accounts.
- Draw up SOX listings daily and weekly from operational systems, consolidate lists, conduct control checks, reconcile monthly SOX lists, and forward for Investment Specialist sign-off.
- Identify quality leads by assessing prospective investment clients from operational system listings.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 plus NQF Level 5 qualification.
- At least 3 years relevant experience in an administrative or clerical role.
- Minimum two years’ experience preferably in Absa Relationship Banking.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Basic understanding of liability products.
- Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies (Required).
