The University of the Free State (UFS) is seeking a dedicated individual for an internship position. This role is vital for maintaining the smooth operation of the GPS hub and involves various administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Receive parcels and sort incoming mail.
- Circulate central communication to GPS hub staff.
- Maintain an updated GPS hub staff list.
- Type and update GPS hub staff administration documents.
- File and keep records of the GPS hub visitor’s log and office key management.
- Ensure smooth reception operations, including during lunch times and leave.
- Coordinate venue bookings for shared spaces in the GPS hub and Modlec meeting venues.
- Collaborate with CTL/Student Affairs administrative support as needed.
- Manage signing in/out of GPS hub central keys.
- Welcome visitors and direct them to appropriate offices or venues.
- Provide first-line support for general GPS hub inquiries.
- Handle general telephone and email communication.
