As an intern, you will assist in executing account plans for multiple accounts, ensuring that engagements lead to high-volume sales for both Microsoft and its customers, all while aligning with goals, budgets, and forecasts. You will gain insights into customer drivers of digital transformation and leverage this understanding to engage internal teams, accelerating the customer’s digital transformation strategy. Building relationships and employing Microsoft sales strategies at various levels within the customer’s organization will be key to establishing alignment on long-term goals and securing buy-in for execution. You will also leverage your knowledge of Microsoft’s product landscape, solutions, and strategies to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on account planning for assigned accounts, setting strategic priorities and plans to achieve desired outcomes. Lead the account planning process to align solutions, sales plays, opportunities, partners, and resources, ensuring the extended virtual team and stakeholders are working towards common goals. Document all activities in the Account Plan.
- Manage multiple accounts, prioritizing actions and maintaining a high level of commitment and accountability. Collaborate with the account management team to address and resolve issues.
- Learn about the business of assigned accounts, their industry intricacies, Microsoft’s position within the industry, and direct competitors. Work with internal industry experts to gather relevant data and improve planning for assigned accounts.
- Understand customer drivers of business and technology transformation, contributing to technology initiatives for assigned accounts. Mitigate competitive risks and seek to capture line-of-business wins for future reference through insightful listening.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Administration,
- Business,
- Information Technology,
- System Engineering,
- or a related field.
- Fluency in English
- Legally authorized to work in South Africa
