Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Completed or nearing completion of an accredited Master’s degree in Education or Counselling Psychology (coursework completion time will not be granted during the internship).
  • An individualised internship program approved by the Professional Board for Psychology by December 2026.
  • Registration with HPCSA as an intern Psychologist no later than January 2027.
  • Experience in supervised therapeutic interventions and psychological assessments.
  • Willingness and ability to work across multiple Nova Pioneer campuses.
  • Capacity to travel as necessary for internship duties.
  • An empathetic approach with a genuine passion for student success and wellbeing.
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate therapeutic techniques.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology to support instruction and psychological services.
