### Job Description
Join the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) as a Pointsman and contribute to maintaining public safety across various regions. Pointsmen are responsible for patrolling designated areas to enforce laws and ensure community security. This role involves the prevention of crimes in line with the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977 and other relevant legislations, including the National Road Traffic Act and City of Johannesburg By-laws.
### Key Responsibilities
– **Traffic Management and Control:** Oversee and regulate traffic flow to ensure road safety and compliance with traffic laws.
– **Community Service Delivery:** Engage in community-related services following the Batho Pele Principles to enhance public safety and trust.
– **School Patrols:** Conduct regular patrols around educational institutions to ensure a safe learning environment for students.
### Candidate Requirements
– **Education:** Minimum of Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
– **Background:** Clean criminal record is mandatory.
