Function and Location
Function: Supply Chain
Reports to: Site Learning Manager
Location: Indonsa Factory, Newlands, South Africa
Terms & Conditions: 12 Months Learnership – Onsite
Job Purpose
This learnership programme trains candidates to operate automated packaging equipment while adhering to health, safety, and quality standards. Participants will develop skills in business understanding, mechanical maintenance, and effective communication for line coordination and operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general line operations and cleaning activities according to operational plans.
- Conduct pre-start-up checks to ensure equipment and area cleanliness and safety in line with SOPs.
- Monitor product and packaging quality against set standards; report faults promptly.
- Detect process abnormalities and take immediate corrective action to prevent escalation.
- Clean machinery following manufacturer guidelines and site specifications.
- Prepare and check raw materials for production use.
- Maintain personal and team safety on the production line.
- Contribute actively to an eco-efficient and sustainable work environment.
- Comply with all learnership requirements including assessments, logbook completion, and assignments.
Required Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) with passes in Mathematics and Science, or
- N2/N3/N4 Engineering qualification.
