Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following academic criteria:

  • Recently graduated with a university degree and able to start the internship within one year of graduation.
  • Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (e.g., bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Enrolled in a postgraduate degree program (e.g., master’s or higher).
  • Enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertaking the internship as part of this program.

Skills and Competencies

  • Understanding of LGBTI and key population issues in developing countries with sensitivity to frontline activism.
  • Knowledge of strategic communication and its role in achieving development goals.
  • Proficiency in various communication mediums and platforms for social change and justice.
  • Ability to engage with diverse partners and build productive working relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
