Transnet: Yard Official Trainee Programme 2025
A Trainee Yard Official will be required to undergo modular training, conduct, and successfully complete the required modules to qualify and be certified as a Yard Official.
Position Outputs
- Attend and complete a theoretical training program within the required time frame.
- Attend and complete a practical training program within the required time frame.
- Develop competency to perform operations and operate equipment as assigned, and be accountable for jobs at the end of the training period.
- Safely and efficiently accomplish work assignments and goals that align with the training program, company strategies, and vision.
- Maintain comprehensive records (portfolio of evidence) of all theoretical and practical training experience for use in progression.
Requirements:
- Minimum Standard: Grade 12.
- Must successfully pass a psychological screening battery test.
- Must successfully pass a relevant medical test (including eyes and ears).
- Computer Literacy.
- Physically fit.
- Must successfully complete and pass both theoretical and practical training as a Yard Official.
