Chemical Engineering Internship at Sappi
Sappi is offering a one-year Chemical Engineering Internship for recent graduates with a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. This internship program is designed to provide hands-on, practical experience in Sappi’s research laboratory, guided by skilled mentors to help candidates transition smoothly into the professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory and pilot plant experiments in accordance with Sappi’s standard operating procedures.
- Operate bench top and pilot scale equipment efficiently and safely.
- Generate research data and conduct thorough data analysis.
- Report experimental and field testing data through well-structured written reports and presentations.
- Participate actively in the maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
Requirements
- Grade 12/Matric qualification.
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- No prior professional experience required.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
