Introduction

The Bid Intern (Tender Intern) at Digicity (Pty) Ltd supports the full lifecycle management and submission of bids, tenders, RFQs, and RFPs across the company’s diverse portfolio. This position operates within municipal, SOE, private, and public-sector environments. Candidates with knowledge or experience in the Networking, IT, and Telecommunication industry are preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Bid Process Management: Manage the end-to-end bid process including planning, scheduling, timeline management, and governance compliance.
  • Document & Content Management: Analyze tender documents, coordinate stakeholder content, consolidate and edit information, maintain bid libraries and templates.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with technical experts, management, and departments to ensure proposals meet business requirements.
  • Quality Control: Verify bid responses for accuracy, quality, and alignment with the company’s win strategy via reviews and quality assurance.
  • Administrative Support: Manage client portal communications, maintain bid trackers, prepare briefing packs, and report on bid activities.
  • Pricing: Generate customer quotes, manage special pricing offers, maintain pricing databases, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Facilitate post-bid reviews and document lessons learned to enhance future submissions.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification required; tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • High accuracy in administrative and analytical tasks.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, for content creation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Beneficial: Knowledge or experience in Networking, IT, and Telecommunication sectors.
  • Valid driver’s license for occasional travel.

Package & Remuneration

The compensation package ranges from R8 000.00 to R10 500.00 CTC.
