About the SA Army Training Programme

- Year 1: Military and functional training
- Year 2: Deployment and practical skill application
Recruits will gain military discipline, specialized training, and leadership experience, preparing them for a career in the South African National Defence Force (SANDF).
General Requirements
To qualify for the SA Army Training Programme 2026, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

RSA Citizen (No dual citizenship)

Age Requirements:
- 18 β 22 years (Must have Grade 12 or higher)
- 18 β 26 years (Must have a 3-year tertiary qualification or N6)
β Admission Point Score (APS): 18 and above (excluding Life Orientation)
β Criminal Record: No previous convictions or pending cases
β Medical Fitness: Must meet SANDF health and fitness standards
β No Visible Tattoos (on legs, lower arms, neck, or face)
β Minimum Height & Weight Requirements: - Females: 148cm height | 48kg weight | BMI: 18.5 β 30
- Males: 155cm height | 52kg weight | BMI: 19 β 30
