Retail Readiness Programme (RRP)
Overview: The Retail Readiness Programme is designed to equip young individuals with no prior work experience with essential skills for the retail environment. This programme includes five weeks of practical training followed by two weeks of theoretical instruction. Successful participants will earn a NQF level 3 qualification upon completion.
Requirements: Applicants must be South African youth aged between 18 and 34 years with no previous work experience. A Grade 12 / Matric or an equivalent qualification is required.
Youth Employment Services (YES)
Overview: The Youth Employment Service is a collaborative initiative involving businesses, government, and labor departments aimed at creating economic opportunities for youth to reduce unemployment. Participants will undergo 12 months of on-the-job training, gaining exposure to various aspects of the retail business. Upon completion, successful YES learners will be equipped to work in retail or start their own retail ventures.
Requirements: Applicants must be South African youth aged between 18 and 34 years. A Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification is necessary, along with a qualification from the Retail Readiness Programme (RRP).
