Requirements for the Position
To be considered for the Security Officer Level 3 position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 6-11 months of relevant experience.
- Certification: Grade C security certificate and valid PSIRA registration.
- Skills: Computer literacy and experience with CCTV in a control room setting will be advantageous.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act No. 53 of 1985, PSIRA Act 56 of 2001, and Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS).
- Availability: Must be prepared to work shifts and handle pressure.
- Preference: Given to EPWP trainees and administrative interns per Personnel Circular Letter 4 of 2017.
- Medical Surveillance: Candidates will undergo medical surveillance as part of the selection process.
