Position: Public Policy Intern – Project Coordinator

We are looking for a motivated Project Coordinator to support our Social Impact team operations. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, and process optimisation within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Administration (30%)

  • Lead preparation and execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and legal frameworks for social impact partners.
  • Manage the social impact budget tracker, process invoices, and ensure financial records meet audit standards.
  • Serve as the main communication liaison between the Public Policy team and external partners.
  • Maintain a centralized digital repository for all social impact documentation to support reporting and assessments.

Social Impact Program Coordination (70%)

  • Coordinate Marketplace and Personal Shopper social impact programs, ensuring participant milestones align with Takealot’s strategy.
  • Manage participant lifecycle from vetting to activation, ensuring smooth onboarding.
  • Collaborate with training providers to monitor learner progress and ensure program KPIs are achieved.
  • Track and report key conversion metrics with data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with Recruitment and Onboarding teams to resolve process bottlenecks hindering program growth.
  • Update and maintain a centralized SOP library with latest project frameworks and compliance checklists.

Qualifications & Experience

  • N6 qualification in Business Management or Human Resources.
  • Strong Google Sheets proficiency.
  • Excellent written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced digital environment.
