Philantrophy Reporting Intern Position at MSF South Africa
Purpose of the Role
The Philanthropy Reporting Intern will support the Fundraising Unit’s Philanthropy team by compiling medical and operational data into comprehensive reports. This role is crucial in maintaining good relationships with MSF SA’s donors, including individuals, corporations, trusts, and foundations, while providing essential fundraising insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Report Writing: Collect donor-related data; prepare and submit timely narrative and financial reports; maintain a robust report tracking system; participate in team meetings and contribute to reporting strategies.
- Proposal-Writing Support: Assist in preparing grant proposals, updates, and communications; collect data supporting report compilation; attend meetings to document outcomes and update donor profiles.
- Support the Philanthropy team in front-line fundraising by helping identify donor prospects, managing schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of grant proposals and reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in English, Communications, or related field.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet research.
- Understanding of research methodology and a keen interest in philanthropy, especially within the African context.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, self-motivated, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to MSF’s values including respect, transparency, integrity, and confidentiality.
Remuneration and Commitment
- Monthly stipend: R5000
