Mediclinic Paarl is seeking a Pharmacist Intern to assist in providing comprehensive, professional, and cost-effective pharmaceutical services to in-hospital patients and the public. This is an on-site, fixed-term contract position. Applications close on 30/09/2025.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Ensure the availability of medicines and scheduled substances to stores and the public
- Ensure accurate dispensing of medications
- Maintain efficient stock holding of medicines and scheduled substances

Required Job Skills & Knowledge
- Current relevant legislation (e.g., Medicines and Related Substances Control Act)
- Financial management principles
- Good pharmacy practices
- Understanding of Medical Aid Scheme benefits, regulations, and formularies
- Knowledge of clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems (e.g., UNISOLVE, AS400)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ethical product knowledge
