Event Planning and Coordination
Energy Capital & Power, the African continent’s leading investment platform for the energy sector, is seeking a motivated intern to assist in the planning and execution of events such as conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows. The role involves scheduling and coordinating event timelines and logistics, communicating with vendors, venues, and suppliers, and managing vendor relationships including contract negotiations.
Marketing and Promotion Support
- Support the marketing team in creating promotional materials and campaigns for upcoming events.
- Manage social media accounts to promote events across various channels.
Event Registration and On-site Assistance
- Handle the registration process by managing attendee databases and responding to inquiries.
- Prepare and distribute badges, tickets, and other registration materials.
- Provide on-site support, including booth setup, registration desk management, attendee assistance, and troubleshooting.
Content and Administrative Support
- Assist in creating and managing event content such as presentations, programs, and speaker materials.
- Support speakers and presenters by ensuring their needs and resources are met.
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and communication management.
Post-Event Activities and Relationship Management
- Prepare event reports and conduct post-event evaluations.
- Engage with attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors to build and maintain relationships.
- Collect feedback for continuous event improvement.
Logistics and Budget Tracking
- Assist in event space setup and breakdown, including arranging furniture and equipment.
- Manage inventory of event supplies and materials.
- Support budget tracking and preparation of financial reports to ensure costs remain within allocated budgets.
