Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing mine closure strategies, plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct gap analyses of clients’ mine closure strategies and prepare detailed reports on findings.
  • Support the team in providing advice and guidance to clients regarding the implementation of mine closure plans.
  • Assist with project administration on closure-related projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mine closure project plans to guide decommissioning and rehabilitation activities.
  • Assist in calculating mine closure costs that meet regulatory requirements and support cost management during construction and operational phases.
  • Participate in audits and reviews of mine closure plans and closure liability assessments.
  • Evaluate and monitor mine closure plans throughout different stages of the mine life cycle.
  • Contribute to the development of alternative mine closure measures to mitigate environmental impacts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives within the mine closure team.
