Massmart: Learnership Opportunities 2025 / 2026
Massmart is committed to building talent pipelines for our stores and invites all suitably qualified and unemployed South Africans to apply for the 2025 Learnership Opportunity.
We offer a 12-month program that provides work experience in specific areas with critical skills within the organization. Participants will gain valuable work experience, explore various career paths, and network with professionals in the field of study. During this period, you will be based in one of our Massmart Retail Stores (Gauteng, Northwest, Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal) and be immersed in the retail environment.
In addition to receiving a National Certificate in Wholesale and Retail Operations and relevant work experience, you will also develop business, personal, and technical retail skills that can be utilized across the business and throughout your career journey.
Requirements
- South African Citizen
- Completed Matric / Grade 12
- Should not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than 1 year
- Should not be studying full-time in the year of employment (August ’25 – July ’26)
- Should not currently be on or registered in a SETA funded Program
- Available and willing to work retail hours on a fixed-term 12-month learnership contract
