Job Responsibilities

As an Animal Health Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Legislation Application: Enforcing relevant acts and legislation across wards, districts, provinces, and nationwide, including protocols, control measures, and eradication schemes.
  • Disease Control: Conducting inspections, eradication schemes, disease control campaigns, and surveys.
  • Training and Mentorship: Facilitating training, mentorship, and extension opportunities for farmers, alongside performing clinical work.
  • Administrative Duties: Managing line function administrative issues within your area of responsibility.
  • Support Services: Assisting the State Veterinarian and Control Animal Health in animal disease control, reproduction, production advancement, sample collection, and law enforcement.
