Job Description

Premier is offering an exciting Internship Quality Control and Assurance opportunity based at our 657 – BRB Cape Town site in Salt River, Western Cape, South Africa. This internship provides practical exposure and experience within our bakery QC/QA processes, giving interns the chance to develop essential skills in food safety and quality management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring quality products are produced in compliance with standards
  • Gaining practical work exposure in Quality Management systems
  • Conducting site, internal, and external audits to maintain quality standards
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting in quality control processes
  • Supporting a strong food safety culture throughout the site
  • Receiving formal and informal guidance during the internship program

Requirements

Qualification Requirements

  • Completed Grade 12
  • Currently studying towards a National Diploma in Food Technology (final year)

Experience Requirements

  • Accurate record-keeping of workplace exposure in a logbook during internship
  • Good knowledge of milling supply chain relevant to quality control and assurance
  • Ability to perform key required tasks as directed by the QC/QA Manager

Skills and Work Environment

  • Minimum one year workplace exposure in Quality Assurance and Control preferred
  • Prepared to work in a factory environment with compliance to safety standards
  • Availability to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays as per shift roster
