Key Responsibilities
As a General Worker in the Redline Gate/Guard/Fence Patrol role, your duties will include:
- Security and Control:
- Monitor and control the movement of cloven-hoofed animals.
- Stop, register, and search vehicles entering or leaving the redline area.
- Inspect and confiscate meat, dairy products, dung, grass, hides, skins, etc.
- Open and close the gate as required.
- Fence Patrol and Maintenance:
- Conduct routine patrols along the redline fence.
- Repair fence breakages promptly.
- Track animal movements along the fence.
- Clear bushes and vegetation along the redline fence.
- Quarantine Management:
- Monitor and control quarantined animals.
- Check permits for quarantined animals and liaise with the Animal Health Technician for inspections.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain records of confiscated products, vehicle movements, permits, and quarantined animals.
