Signa Opportunity: Financial Assistant Intern / Junior Role

Key Responsibilities

This entry-level finance position at Signa offers valuable exposure to various financial administration tasks supporting business operations and printing production teams.

  • Financial Administration: Capture daily financial transactions, maintain accurate records, assist with financial report preparation, and support month-end/year-end processes.
  • Accounts Receivable: Generate client invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, record customer payments, and maintain client account records.
  • Accounts Payable: Capture supplier invoices, assist with supplier payments processing, and maintain supplier payment schedules.
  • Cash and Transaction Management: Record daily cash, EFT, and card transactions, reconcile payments, and assist with petty cash management.
  • Documentation and Filing: Organize and maintain financial documents, invoices, receipts, and ensure accessibility for audits.
  • Support Business Operations: Collaborate with printing production teams for job costing, monitor printing material expenses, and provide financial data to management as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African unemployed youth aged 18 to 34
  • Must not have participated in the YES programme previously
  • Matric certificate
  • Completed Diploma in Finance or BCom Accounting degree
  • No prior work experience required
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer literacy including Excel, Word; knowledge of accounting systems advantageous
  • Professional attitude and willingness to learn
