About Médecins Sans Frontières South Africa (MSF)
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization. MSF is dedicated to two core objectives: providing medical assistance to people affected by armed conflicts, epidemics, healthcare exclusion, and natural or man-made disasters; and advocating for the populations it serves. MSF operates without discrimination, offering aid based solely on need, regardless of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation.
Present in over 60 countries worldwide, MSF deploys thousands of doctors, nurses, logisticians, water-and-sanitation experts, and other medical and non-medical professionals. Together, they deliver essential health services to vulnerable populations caught in humanitarian crises.
