FASSET: Bursaries for Outstanding Study Debt Repayment – 2025 / 2026
Applications are now open for the 2025 & 2026 Outstanding Study Debt Repayment Programme. If you have outstanding study debt and meet the criteria, this is your opportunity to receive support from FASSET.
Selection Criteria
- Employed Applicants: Must currently be employed within the FASSET sector, including professionals affiliated with professional bodies within the FAS Sector, cross-sectoral employers, NGOs, and COBs. Applicants must have completed a qualification relevant to the FAS Sector.
- Unemployed Applicants: Must have completed a qualification relevant to the FAS Sector.
- Employed applicants earning R660,000 or less per annum will be eligible, while unemployed applicants should come from a household income of R1,000,000 or less per annum to qualify.
- Applicants must have an outstanding loan at NSFAS or higher public learning institutions that was used to fund a completed qualification relevant to the FAS Sector.
- The settlement amount is limited to R80,000 per applicant per year.
Approval will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to budget availability. Communication will be sent to successful applicants.
