Facilities Intern at Stryker South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
Stryker South Africa is seeking a Facilities Intern to support the effective operation of facilities by assisting with contractor coordination, providing administrative support, and aiding in procurement processes. This internship offers practical exposure to facilities management and building operations within a leading global medical technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate contractor activities and monitor work outputs to ensure quality and compliance.
- Manage facilities-related administrative tasks including record keeping and reporting.
- Support procurement by engaging with suppliers for quotations and service delivery.
- Assist in service coordination and maintenance tasks related to facilities operations.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of facilities operations, maintenance, and service coordination.
- Attention to detail when overseeing contractor activities.
- Confidence in liaising with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
Minimum Requirements
- Preferably South African citizen.
- Preferably youth candidate.
- Studying towards or completed a qualification in Facilities Management, Built Environment, Engineering, Property Management, or a related field.
- No travel required for this role.
Work Flexibility
This is an onsite role located 100% at a Stryker facility in Johannesburg, with some potential for ad hoc flexibility depending on role requirements.
