The Western Cape Government is seeking motivated South African graduates who are currently unemployed and residing within the Western Cape to join the 2025/2026 Graduate Internship Programme. This Youth Development Initiative offers selected interns the chance to acquire essential practical work experience over a period ranging from 3 to 24 months.
Available Internship Departments
Interns will receive comprehensive on-the-job training in one of the following key departments:
- Department of Agriculture
- Department of the Premier
- Department of Infrastructure
- Department of Economic Development and Tourism
- Department of Environmental Affairs & Development Planning
- Department of Social Development
- Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport
- Mobility Department
- Provincial Treasury
- Police Oversight and Community Safety
- Local Government
Eligibility Criteria
- You are eager to gain practical work experience.
- You hold South African citizenship and reside in the Western Cape.
- Your age is between 20 and 35 years.
- You have completed one of the following qualifications:
- Certificate (NQF Level 5)
- Diploma (NQF Level 6)
- Degree (NQF Level 7)
- Postgraduate Qualification (NQF Level 8 or higher)
