Eskom invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme 2026. This national initiative, led by the Presidency, aims to reduce youth unemployment by offering 12 months of valuable work experience in the energy sector.

Eskom is offering 20 YES opportunities within its Customer Service Department, specifically in the Retail – GEMMA Cluster. Successful candidates will be placed across Eskom operations in Vryburg, Rustenburg, and Lichtenburg in the North West province, gaining hands-on experience in administrative and customer service functions.

    • English (minimum 60%)
  • Proficiency in at least one other South African official language

Selection Criteria

  • Not permanently employed for more than 1 year
  • Not studying full-time during the programme
  • No prior participation in the YES Programme
  • Willingness to undergo Eskom recruitment process
