The Office of the Chief Justice is inviting unemployed youth to apply for the Government entry-level position of Registrar’s Clerk.

Position Title: Registrar’s Clerk

Reference No: 202/40/OCJ

Stipend: R216,417 – R254,928 per annum (Level 05)

Location: Labour and Labour Appeals Court, Johannesburg

Job Level: Grade 12 / Junior / Entry Level SA Government Jobs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and efficient case flow management support to the Court.
  • Address all stakeholders’ inquiries and correspondences.
  • Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of all court records.
  • Administer all appeal and petition processes accurately.
  • Manage the receipt, processing, administration, and filing of all appeals and applications for Leave to Appeal.
  • Perform general administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of confidentiality in Government operations.

Note: All shortlisted candidates will undertake a pre-entry practical exercise to assess their suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements.

Advantageous:

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of appeal processes and petition procedures.
  • Experience in general administration or court-related functions.
  • A valid driver’s license.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Good interpersonal and public relations skills.
