Administration Clerk

Location: Pretoria Head Office

Salary: R228,321 per annum (Level 05)

Requirements: A Senior/Grade 12 certificate.

Knowledge: Knowledge and competencies of clerical functions, basic financial operating systems (SAP), understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service, problem-solving and analysis skills, time-management and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, accountability, ethical conduct, teamwork, flexibility, and client orientation.

Duties: Provide general clerical support services to the Director and officials within the Directorate, maintain incoming and outgoing registers, respond to queries, manage filing systems, photocopy documents, type letters and correspondence, support supply chain management services, complete procurement forms, control received office items, liaise with stakeholders regarding procurement, and verify delivered goods/services.


Administration Clerk (Telephone Operator)

Location: Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth

Salary: R228,321 per annum (Level 05)

Requirements: A Senior/Grade 12 certificate.

Knowledge: Knowledge of clerical functions, data capturing, basic problem-solving and analysis, accountability, ethical conduct, good communication skills, and telephone etiquette.

Duties: Operate the switchboard, handle incoming and outgoing calls, manage routine inquiries, maintain registry and filing systems, ensure proper customer referrals, take messages, provide basic information about departmental services, keep the reception area tidy, receive guests, update the internal telephone directory, operate the fax machine, report telephone system faults, and utilize the Telephone Management System for monitoring accounts.
