Network Contracting Job Description
Minimum Requirements
- Trade Tested Artisan in one of the following: Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Millwright, Auto Electrician
- Valid Code B driver’s license (essential)
- Must be South African
- Own reliable transport (essential)
- Must reside in the East Rand
- Willing and able to travel extensively to client sites in Gauteng and surrounding areas
Experience & Exposure
- Entry-level candidates welcome; post-trade experience advantageous
- Experience working on forklifts (especially electric forklifts) is advantageous
- Experience with yellow/mining equipment and lifting/material handling equipment considered
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and fault-finding highly advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance on forklifts
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Perform breakdown repairs on-site and in the workshop
- Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Complete job cards, service reports, and documentation accurately
- Provide technical support and feedback to clients
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

- Good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Ability to work independently in a field service environment

- High level of reliability and accountability
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
Working Conditions
- Field-based role with frequent travel
- Exposure to industrial, warehouse, and mining environments
- Occasional overtime and standby may be required
