Key Responsibilities:
As part of the learnership, you will be involved in various tasks including:
- Selling Schedule 1 medicines or scheduled substances.
- Assisting in the preparation and compounding of non-sterile medicines, following approved procedures.
- Managing inventory — unpacking, merchandising, and maintaining clean and organized dispensary and OTC (Over the Counter) shelves.
- Interpreting prescriptions accurately, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assisting in managing stock levels and organizing shelves to ensure medication expiry dates are monitored.
- Handling call center scripts and customer service inquiries.
- Supporting chronic, HIV/AIDS, and oncology medication authorization processes.
- Providing health promotion and education to customers.
Requirements:
- Matriculation certificate with Mathematics (Higher Grade) and Physical Science or Life Science obtaining at least a 50% average.
