Job Description
Marriott International is seeking a Digital Marketing Intern to join our Digital Field Marketing Digital Operations Team at the MI Regional Office in Cape Town, South Africa. This full-time, non-management position is designed for individuals currently studying or recently graduated in Marketing or related fields. The intern will assist in various tasks to support field marketing teams for hotels participating in Digital Field Marketing packages across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent review and approval of content across digital platforms.
- Provide monthly automated reports to participating hotels.
- Support search engine optimization (SEO) efforts to enhance online presence.
Core Work Activities
The intern will primarily support the following areas:
SEO Programme
- Publish content optimization updates for all hotels in the programme.
- Publish image optimizations for all hotels in the programme.
- Open and track tickets for metadata updates.
- Audit hotel websites to ensure successful updates.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks, including report generation and project updates.
Content Management Support
Support for Sub-Saharan Africa (approximately 70 hotels) and standalone package hotels, with responsibilities including:
- Conducting biannual hotel website audits.
- Performing quarterly content score checks on Booking.com and Expedia.
- Identifying areas for improvement and missing information.
- Implementing updates resulting from audits.
Ad Hoc Requests
- Review and update hotel images in the digital asset center.
- Update outdated PDFs, menus, content, and events.
- Action content updates in the content management platform.
- Manage image and content updates on OTAs and TripAdvisor.
General Expectations

- Provide timely updates and information to managers and co-workers.
