Job Description

Six Sense Consulting, partnering with a well-established short term insurer, is seeking to appoint a Developer Intern for a 24-month contract. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world software development practices while enabling meaningful contributions to technology enablement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in software development projects using various programming languages and technologies.
  • Assist in developing solutions leveraging low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Support UI/UX design efforts with basic awareness of user interface concepts.
  • Collaborate with teams to understand technical requirements and contribute to architecture design.
  • Gain practical experience with Microsoft 365 tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate.

Qualifications

  • Matric certificate.
  • BSc or BTech Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer/Information Technology, or related fields.

Knowledge and Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of low-code/no-code development platforms.
  • Understanding of UML or basic architectural concepts.
  • Basic UI/UX awareness.
  • Basic understanding of one or more programming languages including C#, Python, JavaScript, Java, Angular, React JS, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
  • Experience or familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools like Power Apps and Power Automate is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of databases including SQL Server, MySQL, or similar.
  • Understanding of Java build tools such as Tomcat and JBoss.
  • Awareness of Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
