Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB): Internship Programme 2025
The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) offers an Internship Programme aimed at unemployed graduates or applicants seeking to gain practical experience that complements their theoretical studies, facilitating their entry into the labor market.
The Internship Programme spans a duration of 24 months, during which successful applicants will be required to sign a contract for the entirety of the internship.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the internship, applicants MUST meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be a South African Citizen or South African Permanent Resident (with a valid South African Identity Document).
- Hold the relevant qualification as specified below.

- BCom Internal Audit or National Diploma in Auditing
- Internship: IT
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology
- Internship: Financial Accounting
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent (NQF 6 and above)
- Internship: Legal Services
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
- Analytical skills and team player.
- Internship: Human Resources
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management/Development
- Internship: Communications
- Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations
- Internship: Facilities
- Diploma or Degree in Building/Construction Services
- Internship: Supply Chain Management
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Finance.
- Graduate Programme: Build Programme
- Postgraduate Built Environment degree
- Graduate Programme: Research
- Postgraduate (NQF 8) in Built Environment
- Graduate Programme: Construction Industry Regulations
