Cementation Africa: Learnership Programme 2025 / 2026
Cementation Africa Training Academy invites suitably qualified candidates, referred by a Cementation Africa employee, to apply for the 18.2 (Non-employed) Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (NQF Level 2) learnership programme.
About the Programme
- This Learnership will equip learners working in any type of workplace with a broad understanding and knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) concepts and practices. This knowledge will enable them to function safely and healthily while addressing health and safety problems and issues.
- It will contribute to the further development of learners by providing articulation, recognition, and mobility within this dynamic and changing environment.
- Qualifying learners will demonstrate responsibility and independently manage themselves effectively in the workplace concerning generic health and safety issues.
- Learners will identify and evaluate occupational safety, health, and environmental factors in occupational environments that may adversely affect the health and safety of individuals.
- Learners credited with this qualification can perform essential measurements and functions that promote a culture of health and safety in the workplace.
- There is a critical need in the industry to recognize learner competence regarding essential operations associated with a healthy, safe, and productive working environment. This qualification serves as an entry point to a career path in one of the areas of specialization in Occupational HSE, allowing for maximum mobility within the field.
- The Learnership duration will span six (6) months.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Must currently be unemployed
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be medically fit to work in the mining underground environment
- Must not have a criminal record
- To ensure safety, female candidates must not be pregnant
- Cementation Africa has a ZERO tolerance policy on alcohol and/or illegal substances; candidates will be tested as part of the onboarding process and subject to random tests during the learnership.
- Must be able to travel at your own cost to and from the Training Academy (Carletonville) every second week.
- Must not be registered for any other learnership programme.
