About the Role

Responsibilities
- Working with conveyor belts and bearings
- Managing pressure pipes and vacuums
- Handling drive and driven gears
- Maintaining roller barrels and roller grounds
- Performing maintenance on oil changes and lubricating metal parts or moving gears
- Maintaining air filters
- Overseeing transmission chain maintenance
Requirements
- South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34
- Must not have participated in the YES programme before
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and materials science
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to develop and test mechanical systems
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
