Mbhashe Local Municipality Learnership Opportunities

Mbhashe Municipality, located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, was established under the Municipal Structures Act of 1998. It encompasses the areas formerly governed by the Elliotdale, Willowvale, and Dutywa town councils. The municipality is currently offering learnership opportunities aimed at youth interested in building careers in agricultural fields.

Available Learnerships

Animal Production – NQF Level 3

50 beneficiaries are needed for this learnership focused on animal production skills development.

Crop Production – NQF Level 3

50 beneficiaries are required for this learnership aimed at crop production training.

Requirements

  • Must reside within the Mbhashe Local Municipality.
  • South African citizen with a valid SA ID.
  • Minimum education level of Grade 10.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Must not have previously benefited from the same or similar NSF- or OTAB-funded learnership programmes.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing practical training activities.

Important Notice

  • Learners must be willing to attend practical training at a site outside their hometown for a minimum of eight (8) months.
  • All related costs during practical training must be covered by the learner’s stipend.
  • No additional funding or allowances will be provided.

Medical Fitness

Selected beneficiaries will undergo medical fitness assessments strictly for learnership participation purposes prior to enrolment.
