Intern: Telecoms Market Researcher
Requirements: A National Diploma or Degree in Commerce, Telecoms, Media Studies, or an equivalent qualification is essential.
Responsibilities: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor offerings, and key industry dynamics. Write ICT company profiles, including qualitative and quantitative analyses. Analyze competitor strategies and market positioning to provide insights. Support ongoing market research projects, including data collection, analysis, and report generation. Assist in creating client presentations and developing insight-driven reports with actionable recommendations.
Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. Strong communication and writing skills, including presentations. Ability to conduct secondary research using various sources. Excellent time management skills in a fast-paced telecommunications environment. Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and draw meaningful conclusions. Attention to detail and numerical orientation.
Intern: Cloud and Data Centre Market Researcher
Requirements: A bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification. Experience is not necessary but will be advantageous.
Responsibilities: Collect high-quality information and data on emerging technologies, cloud, and data centres. Gather data from external sources like industry presentations, annual reports, and publications. Compile information for reporting purposes using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Assist in creating client presentations and developing insight-driven reports. Support senior analysts in writing monthly and quarterly reports on emerging technologies. Maintain various company databases, including the cloud and data centre database. Track media reports and events in the ICT market.
Skills and Competencies: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of emerging technologies, cloud computing, and data centres. Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programs. Intern: Pricing Research
Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Telecoms or Finance.
Responsibilities: Collect and capture accurate pricing data points on MS Excel and other AA online platforms. Assist in developing and maintaining pricing databases and reports that effectively communicate insights. Analyze pricing data using statistical programs such as Power BI and Excel Pivot Tables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support price analysis and other projects. Facilitate effective team interaction and acknowledge contributions from team members. Assist in arranging primary interviews with stakeholders in the telecoms sector and writing regular reports for clients with actionable recommendations.
Skills and Competencies: Knowledge in Data Analytics, Finance, or a similar role, focusing on pricing analytics. Experience in organizing, analyzing, and disseminating large amounts of information with attention to detail. Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. Ability to communicate complex information effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
