Position: Animal Health Technician (X2 Posts)
Salary: R376 413 per annum (Level 08)

- Sekhukhune East (Ref No: LDARD 18/5/2024)
- Mopani West (Ref No: LDARD 19/5/2024)
Key Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualifications: Grade 12 plus an appropriate NQF level 6 qualification in Animal Health or equivalent, as recognized by SAQA.
- Professional Registration: Paid-up registration with the South African Veterinary Council as an Animal Health Technician.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license (exceptions made for individuals with disabilities).
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong time management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation including the Animal Diseases Act (1984), Animal Identification Act (2002), and Meat Safety Act (2000).
- Understanding of specific disease control programs and eradication schemes.
- Familiarity with the PFMA (Public Finance Management Act).
- Computer proficiency and strong report writing skills.
