Job Description: Intern – Technology in Teaching and Learning (Assessment)
Position Overview
The University of the Free State (UFS) invites applications for an Internship in Technology in Teaching and Learning – Assessment within the Blended Learning Innovation Support and Services (BLISS) unit. This contract appointment is for one year and is based at the Bloemfontein Campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing e-assessment activities, including question banks and scheduling on UFS online assessment platforms.
- Support the creation of training materials for objective assessments.
- Provide assistance in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of training for students and academic staff.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Offer support to students and academic staff using the UFS online assessment platform.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or B-Tech degree at NQF Level 7.
- Applicants should not currently be enrolled in any learnership or internship program and should have no prior formal work experience.
- Willingness to sign a learnership/internship agreement with UFS for the full 1-year period.
- Postgraduate qualification and experience as a Student Assistant, Tutor, EduTech Buddy, or Teaching Assistant are advantageous.
- Experience with Learning Management or Assessment Systems is recommended.

Salary: Monthly remuneration of R9,497.50
