Learnership Opportunity – Ambulance Staff at Securemed Ambulance Service
Securemed Ambulance Service is currently seeking 2 highly motivated individuals to join their team through a structured learnership programme. This opportunity is ideal for candidates holding Basic Life Support (BLS), Intermediate Life Support (ILS), or Emergency Care Assistant (ECA) qualifications who have limited or no on-road emergency experience and are eager to develop their skills within the emergency medical services field.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain practical, on-the-road ambulance experience
- Receive mentorship and exposure to emergency response and event medical services
- Participate in real ambulance environment operations
- Opportunity for permanent placement on ambulance crews based on performance and experience
- Work weekend shifts with additional pay beyond normal salary
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid HPCSA registration
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence with Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- CPD compliant
- CPG Certificate (if applicable)
- Willingness to work shifts from 10:00 to 16:00
- Availability for overtime and weekend work when required
- Ability to work from the Monte Vista, Cape Town office
- Reliable transport and ability to travel to and from work at own cost
