Job Purpose
The SHE Intern will support the site SHE Coordinator in implementing systems to minimize Occupational Health and Safety risks by maintaining an effective SHE management system. This role ensures compliance with Unilever policies and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement under the supervision of senior SHE professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in updating SHE procedures as needed
- Support risk assessments and evaluate environmental impacts
- Help investigate workplace incidents
- Communicate procedural updates via meetings, notice boards, and onsite communication screens
- Assist training facilitators in organizing safety training sessions
- Collate SHE statistics and results for reporting
- Collaborate with coordinators to implement audit plans and corrective actions, including hygiene checks, first aid box maintenance, housekeeping, and area inspections
- Maintain action trackers to drive SHE initiatives
- Select and manage two key projects focused on improving SHE skills and practices within Unilever
- Conduct SHE inductions for contractors
Minimum Requirements
- Completed qualification in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Management, Science, or Diploma in Risk Management
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Environmental Sustainability
