About The Role

This Graduate Programme offers structured exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes within a dynamic financial services environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and the broader finance team, gaining hands-on experience across core finance functions while building a strong technical foundation in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Statements: Assist in preparing annual financial statements, Exco and management reporting packs including graphs, tables, and analysis, as well as tax and controller reporting packs. Support year-end audit processes and audit requests.
  • Reconciliations & Controls: Prepare and maintain bank, VAT, and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform intercompany account maintenance and reconciliations. Support month-end close processes including journals and general ledger maintenance.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Support variance analysis and reporting.
  • Operational & Transactional Support: Process monthly journals, assist with ad hoc invoicing and foreign payment processing, support administrative coordination and stakeholder follow-ups, and provide assistance during reporting cycles and audit periods.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed BCom Degree in Accounting.
  • Not registered on any other Graduate Programme or learnership.
  • Currently unemployed.
  • No criminal record.
  • Not studying at any other institution.
