RCL FOODS Careers is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Intern FTC to join the Speciality-Spartan team. This internship role focuses on analyzing and enhancing production processes with an emphasis on resource usage, production efficiency, and material usage variance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and a passion for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Resource Usage vs Production Efficiency reports using PowerBI (preferred) or Excel to provide detailed data analysis and identify trends that support effective decision-making.
- Analyze material usage variances to recommend strategies that reduce waste and optimize resource utilization.
- Conduct time and motion studies to assess production process efficiency and highlight areas for improvement.
- Apply Lean principles and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Proficiency in PowerBI (preferred) or Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights (will be assessed).
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology (will be assessed).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- Previous experience, coursework, or projects in continuous improvement, process optimization, or related areas is advantageous.
