Position Overview

Core Group is seeking a dynamic and motivated Entry-Level Desktop-Based Sales Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving sales growth through meticulous desktop research and proactive customer cold calling. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about sales, possessing strong communication skills, and eager to launch their careers in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive desktop research to identify potential clients, market trends, and business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate database of prospective clients.
  • Initiate outbound cold calls to potential customers to introduce products/services, identify needs, and generate sales leads.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, ensuring consistent follow-ups and relationship nurturing.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored pitches and sales strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations via phone and email communication.
  • Track all sales activities in the CRM system, ensuring up-to-date records of interactions and outcomes.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Strong customer-centric approach with a genuine passion for helping clients.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using desktop applications, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Resilience and persistence, with the ability to handle rejection positively.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards achieving targets.

Qualifications

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent (minimum requirement).
  • A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role is a plus, though not required.
