Job Description
The Eastern Cape Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) serves as the custodian of provincial government immovable assets. The department is responsible for managing, maintaining, and developing sustainable infrastructure across the Eastern Cape. It plays a crucial role in provincial development through various construction projects, property management, and maintenance services. Key focus areas include hospital refurbishments, school projects, and office accommodation improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain government-owned buildings and facilities.
- Coordinate and oversee construction and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure sustainability and compliance in infrastructure development.
- Support property management and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to drive provincial development initiatives.
Minimum Competencies and Requirements
- N6 Certificate in Human Resource Management or Public Management.
- Understanding of provincial infrastructure management and development.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
