Internship Programme Opportunities at South African National Parks (SANParks)
Job Description
Location: Garden Route National Park, Western Cape
South African National Parks (SANParks) invites applications from graduates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma (NQF6/NQF7) from a South African Public Higher Education Institution (HEI). Successful candidates will participate in a one-year internship programme with a monthly stipend of R6,355.69. This internship is a temporary placement designed to provide practical experience, and SANParks is under no obligation to offer employment after completion of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain work experience relevant to your field of study within SANParks
- Participate in projects and activities as assigned by supervisors at Garden Route National Park
- Develop skills and competencies towards environmental conservation and park management
Requirements
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Unemployed South African citizen, aged 18 – 35
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6 or 7) from a South African Public Higher Education Institution (HEI)
- Must reside within the Eastern Cape Province
- Must not have been previously employed or participated in any internship/placement programme

- Candidates applying for placements outside their area of residence must secure their own accommodation and transport
- Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)
